Karnataka vs Tamil Nadu: Wheelchair Cricket's First-Ever Pink-Ball Test

Karnataka vs Tamil Nadu: Wheelchair Cricket's First-Ever Pink-Ball Test

The Karnataka Wheelchair Cricket Team's February 2024 tour of Tamil Nadu produced one of the sport's genuine historical milestones: the first-ever pink-ball day-night test match played in wheelchair cricket, held in Tuticorin and officially registered in the Triumph World Records.

Two individual records fell in the same match. Karnataka's Sagar Lamani became the first-ever centurion in a wheelchair cricket pink-ball test, while Sagar Gowda became the first bowler to take a 5-wicket haul in the format.

Despite those milestones, the match itself went right down to the wire — Tamil Nadu edged it by just 2 wickets. More than the result, the match stood as a celebration of how far the sport has come, and DMSA was proud to have players at the center of it.
