South Zone Championship: Karnataka's Narrow Final Heartbreak

The South Zone Championship — a fixture in the wheelchair cricket calendar bringing together the top teams of southern India — was hosted in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu from April 4–7, 2024.

Team Karnataka fought through the group stage with wins over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to reach the final, where they came up against a strong Tamil Nadu side. Batting first, Tamil Nadu posted 222 runs in 20 overs. Karnataka's chase fell agonizingly short, finishing 23 runs behind.
